The three ring circus at MLSE

Looks like things should get mighty interesting around the Air Canada Centre the next few days as rumors swirl that Leafs GM John Ferguson Jr is about to get canned and while they're at it why don't they tell Richard Peddie to go to. (like they should have done when they canned Pat Quinn). Peddie has proven over the years that he knows shit about hockey. He was with the Raptors when MLSE bought them out, and to make matters worse they intrusted him with running the hockey team. Over the years he has managed to run the hockey minds (Dryden and Quinn) out of town and hired at the time what he said would be a future star GM when he hired JFJ, well in the 4 years since he has been in charge and the Leafs look worse than when he took charge and looking ahead to next year they already have 40 million commited to salary with the cap likely to be set at 50 it's high time to rid them selves of some bad contracts i.e., McCabe, Raycroft and Kubina.

Face it Leaf fans it won't get better till the Teachers pension fund decides to sell the team off to a owner that cares about winning, desperate Leaf fans deserve that much, unfourtunately with the corporate suits buying out the ACC the real fans get shutout and the Owners don't care. Hey Jim Basille do yourself a favour give up on buying the Nashville Predators and offer up your money to MLSE. Leaf Nation will thank you.

Winter and other thoughts.

I was hoping that it wouldn't come this early but it did. SNOW, not much but enough of it mixed with some freezing rain to cause havoc on the roads. A note to drivers....SLOW DOWN!!!!!. I'd prefer not to have to see your sorry ass in the ditch somewhere because you didn't have the brains to slow down.

Happy Thanksgiving to our nieghbors to the south enjoy your fill of football and turkey, and with the weather the way it is here it's probably just as well I get the day off too.

Welcome back Byrd, not so much for Borowski

Well it looks like another year of nailbiting ninth innnings for Indians fans as they picked up Borowski's option to return as closer. Just once I'd love to see the Indians get a fireballer closer that has a nice ERA instead of Borowski's 5 plus ERA, oh well at least he's only back for 08. As for the better news for Tribe fans Paul Byrd is coming back for 08, with 15 win in 07 he'll be a lock to be at least the 4rth starter.
Congrats to Grady Sizemore for winning his first of many gold gloves. Next week we get to find out who wins the MVP, rookie and Cy young winners.

I have now seen it all!!!

As I was reading the sports on cleveland.com i noticed a story about how you can now have a urn decked outwith your favorite baseball team on it and likewise with a casket, it's absoulutely brilliant!, I know when I go someday I want to be buried in a casket with the Indians logo on it. Cudos to whoever thought up the idea!
